Tommy - Here's what I know - the windmills are 274 feet tall - stairs inside to get to top for maintenance. Operate year round - don't know how much wind has to be blowing to make therm turn. I believe they are owned by the power co. here which lease land from the farmers to put these up - not sure how many can be in a "farm" that was the most we had seen on one spot.
