On our way from Indiana to Pennsylvania we took the northern route thru Ohio - we happened upon a wonderful state park - East Harbor State Park - right on Lake Erie. A real treasure, the campsites were spacious and the park itself was beautiful. Unfortunately, we do not have any pics of this.......guess what, it was raining - again. We only stopped here for one night, although it is an area we would love to come back and explore.

We played for some of the next day and took a ferry to a small island close by called Kelly's Island - 100 year round residents, a pk-12 school w/28 students. We discovered once there that there is a state park on the island and you can ferry your rv to it............hhhhmmm food for thought for another trip!

Although blustery and damp - we really enjoyed our few hours on the island - we found glacial ridges - where icebergs came thru and created these "tracks" in the rock formations, a great boardwalk thru a natural area and ended up on the shores of Lake Erie!
