House on the Rock

One of the adventures we had in while in Madison was a day trip to House on the Rock (a good inside activity on one of several rainy days) - a really bizarre creation of one individual over many years -- their seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the layout of the home and it was truly hard to imagine how anyoe actually lived there. It was on bizarre collection after another - dollhouses, musical intruments, circus toys, weapons from all times, model ships - it just went on and on! Unfortunately the battery on our camera died so we do not have a very good representation of quite how bizarre it all was, but needless to say I believe we all breathed a sgh of relief when we finally found the exit - after almost 2 1/2 hours of walking thru one unbelievable room after another.
